Quarantine – use your time at home for an effective skin detox!

It takes approx. 4 minutes to read this article

The pandemic and the ensuing forced quarantine, while they have changed a lot, if we can talk about their positive aspects, an effective detox for our skin is certainly one of them. The time of social isolation can be used to improve your complexion! How to do it

Take advantage of the fact that you still spend most of your time at home and do something for your skin. Two weeks is all it takes to improve the appearance of your skin, including soothing inflammation, reducing blackheads and firming the complexion. We suggest how to give your skin an effective detox during your quarantine.

Home detox for the skin

Pandemic time is a time spent mainly at home. Many people work remotely and in their free time catch up on TV series or improve their skills in other areas, such as learning foreign languages. Isolation time can also be used to the benefit of your skin, because in the daily rush we did not have as many moments to look at its needs, or under the mask of makeup, we did not pay attention to its condition. Forced quarantine is the perfect opportunity to restore your skin’s balance and healthy appearance. How? Just introduce a few simple rules, which over time will turn into healthy habits!

100% natural. Makeup at home, but what for?

Fall in love with your sauté version! After all, home is a place where you’re supposed to feel at ease, no one is judging you, let alone the state of your skin, so give it a break from the cosmetics it has to deal with on a daily basis. During your quarantine, make yourself a 100 percent makeup ban and spend more time on skin care. By not applying makeup, you’ll see how your skin functions, but most importantly, you’ll give it a break from the heavy mask of foundation

Remember that you can also use your quarantine time to test lighter cosmetics, such as BB and CC creams or mineral foundations. These products contain soothing and healing substances (e.g. zinc oxide) that speed up the healing of blemishes.

Limit moisturizing, especially at night if you have oily skin

Do not forget that at night your skin regenerates intensively and the best thing you can do for it is not to disturb it. For this reason, it is better not to apply nourishing creams in the evening, because they slow down cell exchange and interfere with night-time epidermal renewal. It is not about giving up moisturizing the skin at night altogether, but about limiting this activity. Instead of applying a regular cream to the face, it is better to use a moisturizing serum or a light emulsion based on hyaluronic acid. This is a good strategy, especially for those who struggle with acne and oily skin.

Introduce vegetable and fruit juices into your daily diet

To give your skin a real detox, you also need to take care of it from the inside. What does that mean? Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean draconian diets, but small changes, such as giving up sweets and heavily processed products, because they can cause insulin spikes in the blood, which increase the production of androgens, the hormones responsible for the appearance of troublesome acne. What will help improve the appearance of your complexion? Certainly freshly squeezed juices. Vitamin-rich beet or apple juice can work wonders. Beetroot juice is a hit, on Facebook groups many people are exchanging patents for a healthy complexion, where the main role is played by this inconspicuous vegetable. Some people confirm that drinking beet juice every day (for at least 2 months) cured their rosacea. Carrot juice is also good for the skin thanks to its high content of vitamin A, which improves the overall appearance of the complexion, and if drunk daily can even give the skin a slightly darker shade. Juices from citrus fruits: oranges and lemons will also be valuable, as they will provide the skin with an antioxidant bomb in the form of vitamin C and strengthen the resistance to viruses
