Although scrubbing is one of the best home treatments we can give our skin, the wrong cosmetic can do more harm than good. So how to choose the right scrub that will not harm our skin? We suggest!
Why is it worth peeling the skin?
Peeling is a procedure that is worth performing regularly. We can easily perform it at home, even at a small cost – the prices of peeling cosmetics start from just a few zlotys. With regular exfoliation of dead skin, we are able to notice effects such as cleansing of skin pores, softening of skin, equalization of skin tone, improvement of microcirculation, smoothing and firming of skin, better absorption of nutrients contained in other skin care cosmetics, regulation of sebum production and faster regeneration of skin.
Does every skin like peeling?
Peeling can be successfully performed on any skin type, even very sensitive skin. The key is to choose the right type of peeling. If you do not perform it more than 1-2 times a week, it should not harm your skin.
Mechanical peeling – for whom?
The most popular peeling for use at home is mechanical peeling, otherwise known as granular peeling. The peeling effect is achieved by abrasive particles of varying thickness, which do not penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, but only work on the surface. These particles can be ground fruit seeds (e.g. raspberries, peaches, apricots), nut shells, cereal flakes or grains. Depending on their size, mechanical scrubs are divided into coarse, fine and medium grains. This type of peeling can not be used for vascular, sensitive, acne-prone and inflamed skin.
Enzymatic peeling – for whom?
Enzyme peeling does not have abrasive particles in its composition. This role is played by enzymes: papain and bromelain. It is they that penetrate the skin and dissolve the stratum corneum. Enzyme peels are excellent for helping to remove deep impurities and blackheads. They are ideal for all skin types, especially vascular, acne-prone, oily, dry, sensitive and delicate skin.
Peeling peel-off – for whom?
If you are looking for a product that will cleanse your complexion in a gentle way, peel-off peeling is for you! The gel-like consistency, when applied to the face, dries and turns into a transparent mask. After a few minutes, the product is removed from the face, and the residue is washed off with a toner. This type of peeling does not cause redness of the skin, so it can be successfully performed moments before leaving the house.
Chemical peeling – for whom?
Chemical peels can most often be found in beauty salons, but thanks to ready-made cosmetics, it can also be done at home. Chemical peeling is a deep skin cleansing treatment, using the exfoliating action of fruit acids, most often AHA and BHA. It will work well for those with acne-prone skin or with visible signs of aging. Chemical peels help to lighten hyperpigmentation, shallow scars and brighten skin tone. When using them in the privacy of your home, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and take extra caution.
