Small apartments in blocks of apartments are quite a challenge to arrange even for interior designers. However, if you plan the space well, you will create a functional interior, in which you will have everything at your fingertips. So how to neatly introduce a table into a small apartment? We suggest!
Many people with a small area at their disposal do not want to introduce a table into the room. Their fears seem justified, as this piece of furniture might clutter up the space, or simply make it difficult to freely use the living room or the kitchen. On the other hand, it is nice to eat comfortably, or to receive guests at a full-size table top. So how to achieve a compromise?
Extendable bench – a way to have a practical interior
Benches bring to mind apartments from communist Poland. It was then that this furniture reigned supreme in living rooms. All you had to do was turn a crank to lift the top to the right height; then, using a special mechanism, it could be unfolded to create a full-size table. Today, these benches are back in favour, although their models are obviously very different from their predecessors. They are modern and functional furniture with an unusual design. Thanks to them you can have a table, where you can comfortably eat a meal or receive a larger number of guests. What’s more, they don’t take up much space on a daily basis and can successfully serve as a stylish bench.
Folding table top – a functional piece of furniture in the kitchen
If you are missing a table top, at which you could comfortably eat breakfast, and at the same time you do not have room for an additional piece of furniture in your kitchen, it is worth bet on an extendable table top. You can fold it out for meals and put it away when you don’t need it. This solution can work even in a living room, and be used not only as a table for eating, but also a place to work.
